Brand Spotlight - Larrikin Bourbon
If you have followed the social media accounts of Toast & Tannin, you know how much I love trying smaller, craft brands. And it's an extra bonus when we can support a Veteran Owned business, like Larrikin. I reached out and wanted to highlight them on the site so more folks who enjoy fine whiskey made by great people can learn about them. They've been in the business since 2022 and I can't wait to see how they grow and what whiskey they will be putting out for us to drink!
If you don't know about Greg Keeley, here is a background on him;
From the family vineyard in Australia, to national security professional and now, owner, and distiller at Lawrenceburg Bourbon Co. - Greg is one of 12 participants in the prestigious Kentucky Distillers Assoc. (KDA), Leadership Academy (2024), and is the only craft distiller on the KDA Legislative Affairs Committee.
Greg is a Service-Disabled Navy Veteran with the unique distinction of commissioned service in both the United States Navy (USN) and Royal Australian Navy (RAN), serving in combat roles including Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pacific (thank you for your service, Greg!).
He served as an advisor to the Under Secretary of Defense Intelligence and held leadership roles in several start-up technology firms. In the United States Congress, he held various leadership roles in the House of Representatives and Senate.
Born and raised in Australia, Greg operated for the Commonwealth in various capacities
including the RAN and Federal Police. He was Military Attaché for Counter Terrorism at
Australia’s U.S. Embassy in Washington D.C. and served as an advisor to the President of the Australian Senate and the Special Minister of State. Greg lives with his wife Katie and two rescue dogs – Betsy Ross and Raylan Givens on Fremantle Farm in Lawrenceburg.
